Hermann Krackowizer
Hermann Krackowizer (born August 18, 1846 in Wels , † May 19, 1914 in Linz ) was an Austrian architect .
After finishing secondary school in Linz, Krackowizer attended the technical colleges in Karlsruhe (1864–66) and Stuttgart (1866/67). He then worked as an engineer for the Rudolfsbahn . From 1870 to 1872 he was an employee and site manager of Otto Thienemann , and from 1872 to 1874 chief architect of the military construction company in Vienna. After that he was self-employed, from 1884 in Linz. Here he was entrusted with the building management of the state museum, the savings bank and the commercial club house.
Hermann Krackowizer was a brother of the Upper Austrian Provincial Archives Director Ferdinand Krackowizer .
