Hermann Kunisch (born January 9, 1856 in Neisse ; † May 8, 1893 in Breslau ) was a German geologist and paleontologist.

Kunisch studied in Breslau, where he received his doctorate in botany in 1880 (on the deadly influence of low temperatures on plants). After that he was a teacher, where he was an assistant at the Mineralogical Museum of the University in Breslau until 1883. In 1882 he completed his habilitation. He was a teacher at schools in Breslau (including the Catholic secondary school). He was a member of various Breslau societies, including the Silesian Society for Patriotic Culture from 1883 .

He published mainly on the Muschelkalk Silesia and its fossils. Some first descriptions come from him, including the plant Voltzia krappitzensis (1886) and the fish Colobodus gogolinensis (1885, as Dactylolepis Gogolinensis ). C. Wachsmuth and F. Springer named the Triassic sea lily Dadocrinus kunischi in his honor .
