Hermann Ludwig Seefisch (* 1810 in Potsdam ; † 1879 ) was a German landscape , genre and portrait painter .

Life

Seefisch graduated from the Prussian Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin from 1829 to 1833 and took courses in anatomy and perspective. In 1832 he trained in Wilhelm Wach's studio in Berlin, and from 1834 he regularly participated in the Berlin Academy exhibitions. From 1836 to 1839 he was in Paris, where he studied in Louis Étienne Watelet's studio until around 1838 . After 1839 he worked as a painter in Berlin.
