Hermann Müller (politician, 1881)

Hermann Müller (born October 24, 1881 in Wimpfen , † September 4, 1946 in Rüsselsheim ) was a German teacher and politician . He was the full-time mayor of Rüsselsheim (1922–1944).

Life

In 1900, while studying mathematics , Müller became a member of the Germania Gießen fraternity . After completing his studies, he was a teacher of physics and mathematics in Rüsselsheim and in 1916 became rector of the high school in Pfungstadt and a short time later rector and senior teacher at the high school in Rüsselsheim. In 1922 he was elected full-time mayor of Rüsselsheim with the support of the DDP , DVP , Zentrum , Bauernbund and DNVP . In 1933 he joined the NSDAP and remained in his office until 1944, from which he was ultimately deposed by the National Socialists because he was accused of misconduct after the bombing of the city. A short time later he passed away.
