Hermann Petersen (Lübeck)
Hermann Petersen (* around 1592 in Vlotho ; † December 18, 1675 in Lübeck ) was a German merchant and councilor in Lübeck.
Life
Hermann Petersen came to Lübeck as a commercial apprentice in 1608. Petersen was a senior man of the Lübeck skipper driver in 1637 . In 1638 he became head of the "Spanish Collection" in Lübeck, an association of Lübeck long-distance trade merchants who were active in trade with the Iberian Peninsula. Petersen was elected councilor in Lübeck in 1651. It was handed down as a weather ruler in 1658 . He died at the age of 82 and was buried in Lübeck's Marienkirche , where his grave slab has been preserved.
