Hermann Staffehl (born August 28, 1873 in Ackerfelde , † June 13, 1939 in Biesen ) was a German politician (DNVP).

Live and act

After attending primary school , Staffehl completed an agricultural apprenticeship. From 1892 to 1895 Staffehl belonged to the Leib-Garde-Husaren-Regiment in Potsdam . Then he worked again in agriculture. In 1900 he was elected mayor of his home parish Biesen. He held this office until at least 1920.

In 1917 Staffehl became a member of the district council , the district committee and the provincial council . When the Prussian State Council was founded, Staffehl was elected as a member.

In 1919 he joined the German National People's Party (DNVP). In the Reichstag elections of May 1928 Staffehl was a candidate for the constituency of the DNVP 4 (Potsdam I) in the Reichstag voted, where he remained until September 1930th

In addition, Staffehl had been active in the Reichslandbund since it was founded and at times was also a member of its federal executive committee. He was also the leader of the agrarian group when the Association of Prussian rural communities was founded, and Staffehl was elected chairman in 1922. In this capacity he was also a member of the Provisional Reich Economic Council from 1926 .
