Hermann Thielen

Hermann Thielen (* around 1844 in Düsseldorf ; † August 3, 1915 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) was a German businessman and president of the Mülheim-Oberhausen Chamber of Commerce .

Live and act

Hermann Thielen came from a long-established Mülheim shipbuilding family. His father was the royal field provost Peter Thielen , his brother the Prussian Minister of State Karl von Thielen . He worked as a coal trader and founded the coal wholesaler Thielen-Krabb in Mülheim an der Ruhr. In addition, he was a commercial judge at the Royal District Court in Duisburg (1879–1894), President of the Chamber of Commerce for Mülheim and Oberhausen (1901–1910), representative of the Chamber of Commerce in the Cologne District Railway Council (1904–1910) and a member of the Mülheim City Council (1909–1915) . He is considered to be a co-founder of the local officers' association and was a member of the board of trustees of the Evangelical Hospital and Supply House in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
