Nicole van Nierop

Nicole van Nierop (* 1980 in Eindhoven , Netherlands ) is a Dutch actress and screenwriter .

Career

As a child she already slipped into smaller roles. But acting only became really professional after graduating from high school. She went to Australia to study English and was also admitted to the Rockhampton Theater , Queensland .

Van Nierop returned to the Netherlands after almost two years. In 2002 she was first noticed through her lead role in the short film Paradiso . The short film was nominated for the Tuschinski Film Award .

In 2006, she played a small role in the film Wild Romance of Herman Brood . On Dutch television, van Nierop played guest roles in the series Intensiv Care ( intensive care unit ), Russen and Grijpstra & De Gier .

She made her breakthrough with the role of Manuela van Grunsven (a heavily pregnant, single mother of two who works at the checkout in the supermarket), in the television series New Kids and the movie New Kids Turbo . The film set the record for the highest sales on a premiere day in the Netherlands.

She also writes scripts for short films and directs them herself .

At times she can be seen in various commercials on Dutch television.

In April 2010 she published her book Ik houd van u bij .

Private

Nicole van Nierop grew up in Eindhoven , the Netherlands , and later moved to Amsterdam . She lives in a partnership with Richard Pama .

She plays in a theater group with friends.
