Hermann Vahldiek

Hermann Vahldiek (born September 3, 1887 in Thiede , Wolfenbüttel district ; † July 21, 1969 in Braunschweig ) was a German politician ( NSDAP / SRP ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Hermann Vahldiek did military service in Braunschweig with Infantry Regiment No. 92 from 1906 to 1908 . He completed an apprenticeship as a baker and graduated in 1912 with the master's examination, after which he took over a Braunschweig bakery. He was a participant in the First World War in 1914. After the end of the war, he became a member of the board of the Braunschweig bakers' guild in 1920, and five years later he became deputy head master . In 1927 he was in Braunschweig city councilor , a year later he took over the presidency of the craftsmen frets Movement (country Braunschweig). His conversion to the NSDAP on October 1, 1932 helped the National Socialists gain a majority of votes in the Braunschweig state parliament. From 1932 to 1934 he was head master of the Braunschweig baker's guild, and in 1933 he became district master craftsman and president of the Braunschweig Chamber of Crafts, as well as city councilor and department head of the Braunschweig slaughterhouse. A year later (1934) he took over the chairmanship of the state association of house and landowners' associations . It was completely bombed out by air raids in 1944. He was arrested in April 1945 and interned in Braunschweig. An asset freeze was imposed on his property. Then he worked as a laborer and grinder .

Vahldiek was a member of the Braunschweig State Parliament in 1930 . He was also a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from May 6, 1951 to October 23, 1952 (2nd electoral period). In the period from July 15, 1952 to October 23, 1952, he joined the parliamentary group of Abgg. Dr. Schrieber and Gen. and from August 18, 1952 as its chairman. After the SRP was banned by a ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court on October 23, 1952, his mandate and that of all other SRP parliamentary group members expired ( BVerfGE 2, 1).
