Hermann Vogel (* 1856 in Flensburg ; † October 14 (?) 1918 in Paris ) was a French painter and illustrator of German origin.
Vogel came to Hamburg as a child in 1864 and studied around 1872–1878 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . He then settled in Paris and eventually became a French citizen.
He illustrated several books and contributed numerous drawings and paintings to magazines (including L'assiette au beurre ).
His son was the art publisher and journalist Lucien Vogel (1886–1954).
