Hermann Wittmaack
Hermann Wittmaack (born January 23, 1833 in Neuenkirchen in Schleswig; † December 13, 1928 in Leipzig ) was a judge at the Imperial Court .

In 1857 he entered the civil service. In 1863 he became an authorized representative of the ducal state government. In 1865 he was appointed as a councilor to a court of appeal. In 1868 Wittmaack came to the Prussian Ministry of Justice as an unskilled worker. In 1877 he was appointed to the Reich Higher Commercial Court. He transferred to the newly founded Reichsgericht. As a Reich judge, he worked in both civil and criminal senates until his retirement in 1897. He died in 1928. His son Karl Wittmaack was a well-known ENT doctor and university professor.
