Hermann von Düngelen

Hermann von Düngelen (* around 1480 ; † 1540 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Hermann von Düngelen came from the Westphalian noble family von Düngelen , which had its seat in Bladenhorst Castle at the beginning of the 14th century . He was the son of the Essen inheritance gift Rotger von Düngelen and his wife NN. from Dahlhausen. His brother Rotger was canon in Münster from 1503 to 1512. Mentioned for the first time in 1492 as the canon of Münster, Hermann was the owner of the Stotbrock office in 1509 and archdeacon of Warendorf in July 1513 . In 1520 Hermann was elected provost of St. Mauritz in Münster . Hermann was also cathedral senior. Awarded after his deathBishop Franz von Waldeck on August 6, 1540 the Archdeaconate Warendorf to Gottfried von Merveldt .
