Rotger von Düngelen (* in the 15th century; † July 1512 in Rome ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Rotger von Düngelen came from the Westphalian noble family von Düngelen , who had their seat in Bladenhorst Castle at the beginning of the 14th century . He was the son of the Essen inheritance gift Rotger von Düngelen and his wife NN. from Dahlhausen. His brother Hermann was canon in Münster from 1492 to 1540. At the end of the 15th century he completed his studies at the artist faculty in Cologne and was mentioned in May 1503 as a canon of Münster. As early as 1512 he renounced his prebend in favor of the Pope . On March 29, 1512 Heinrich von Guntersberg promised the benefice. Heinrich immediately gave up, so that the Pope considered Johann von Aschebrock . After his death in July 1512, Rotger was buried in the German cemetery in Rome.
