Josef Schrenk
Josef Schrenk (born September 20, 1919 in Trmice ; † February 12, 2013 in Liebenfels ) was a German Slavist .
Life
After receiving his doctorate in 1953 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and his habilitation in 1966 at the University of Hamburg , he taught there from 1966 to 1967 as a private lecturer . From 1967 to 1969 he was professor of Slavic studies at the Germersheim International and Interpreting Institute . From 1967 to 1974 he held the professorship for Slavic Linguistics in Konstanz . From 1974 to 1987 he taught at the chair for Slavic and Balkan Philology at the University of Munich .
His main areas of work were comparative Slavic linguistics , linguistic models, text linguistics and sociolinguistics.
