Hermanns & Riemann

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The architecture office Hermanns & Riemann for building construction and engineering work consisted of the Kgl. Building advisors Rudolf Hermanns (1853–1909) and Kuno Riemann (1851–1928) and was founded in 1885 in Elberfeld . Since work on the Elberfeld zoo restaurants began before 1885, it can be assumed that the joint work on the project led to the establishment of the office. From 1892 they opened up the Elberfeld zoo district and the construction of the first villas there on their own account . Numerous buildings were owned by Hermanns & Riemann in 1901, 1907 and 1916, so that one can assume that they were built according to their plans.

A branch office was opened in Bocholt in 1894 . In 1907 the office at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Allee 19 was in liquidation .

Numerous buildings by the Hermanns & Riemann office are now protected as architectural monuments .
