Hans Saupert

Hans Saupert (born January 10, 1897 in Germersheim , † March 5, 1966 in Braunau am Inn ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SS leader .

Live and act

In his youth Saupert attended the secondary school in Speyer and the upper secondary school in Ludwigshafen am Rhein . From August 1914 he took part in the First World War as a volunteer . In 1917 he switched to the air force and became a fighter pilot . After the war he worked as an auditor in banking.

In 1923 he took part in the failed Hitler putsch in Munich . Because of this, he later received the medal in memory of November 9, 1923 . In 1925 he rejoined the NSDAP (membership number 25.045). In 1931 he became Reich auditor of the NSDAP, in the same year he became head of the Reich Auditing Department of the NSDAP and in 1933 chief of staff of the Reich Treasurer of the NSDAP.

On November 12, 1933, Saupert became a member of the National Socialist Reichstag .

He also achieved the rank of SS brigade leader in the SS in 1938 (membership number 119.494) . In mid-October 1943 Saupert was provisionally Reich Commissioner for tobacco products.
