Hermes da Rosa Correia Barros

Hermes da Rosa Correia Barros is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of the Partido Social Democrata (PSD) .

In 2009, the PSD MP Fernando Dias Gusmão left the PSD and the East Timorese National Parliament . He was followed on July 7 by Barros as a successor from the electoral list. Here he was a member of the commissions for constitutional affairs, justice, public administration, local jurisdiction and government legislation (commission A) and for youth, sport, work and training (commission H). But after Mário Viegas Carrascalão resigned as deputy prime minister in September 2010, he resumed his mandate as a member of parliament and Barros fell out of parliament.

On January 10, 2011, Barros returned to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Development, where he was serving before he was a member of parliament. Here he became National Director for Rural Economic Development (NDRED). In the 2012 parliamentary elections , Barros was no longer on the PSD's electoral list. In any case, the PSD failed at the three percent hurdle. In 2014, Barros was National Director in the State Secretariat for the decentralization of administration.
