Hermesianax
Hermesianax was an ancient Greek elegiac made of colophon . He lived around 300 BC Chr.
Hermesianax was a friend and student of the Greek poet and grammarist Philetas from Kos . Following the example of the poet Antimachus of Colophon, he wrote erotic elegies in three books, under the heading Leontion , the name of a hetaera who was his lover. Of this work, 98 verses that have been handed down in very poor condition have survived.
