Life and accomplishments

Hermine Esinger was the younger sister of Adele Esinger . Both were artists, with Hermione turned to music. She was the last student of Franz Liszt and the first piano teacher at the Mozarteum . Franz Liszt was also a frequent guest in the house of the Esinger sisters on Mönchsberg No. 6. He is said to have kicked the pedals so hard that the floor underneath broke through. Hermine Esinger had lost most of her fortune in the inflation of 1923 and since then has had to earn a living by taking piano and organ lessons.
