The Herniman Glacier is a 2 km long and equally wide glacier in the northwest of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It flows in a north-westerly direction to Röhss Bay .
It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 2012. It is named after Simon Herniman, field research assistant for the British Antarctic Survey from 2003 to 2009 , who was involved in the extraction of ice cores on Berkner Island during this time and who was also its head in 2008 and 2009 the Arctic station in Ny-Ålesund .
