Herrenbesuch is a Munich barbershop male choir that was founded in 2006 as the first of its kind in southern Germany.
The repertoire of about 42 singers of all ages and professions consists of classic barbershop literature, ballads and up-tempo pieces. In order to bring this style of music closer to a broader audience in Germany, special arrangements of well-known melodies were created , also in German , with the usual sound expansion through overtone formation in the barbershop . Since 2010 there has been a hymn to the hometown of Munich in the barbershop style: "Munich my". Herrenbesuch is a member of the German umbrella organization BinG ! (Barbershop in Germany), in which most of the active German barbershop choirs and quartets are organized.
