The Hessian University of Finance and Justice in Rotenburg an der Fulda (HHFR) (until the beginning of 2010 Administrative University of Applied Sciences Rotenburg an der Fulda) is one of the Hessian universities of applied sciences for public administration . It is based in Rotenburg an der Fulda . It belongs to the Rotenburg an der Fulda Study Center , to which the State of Hesse has amalgamated its educational institutions in this city.

courses

At the HHFR, candidates for the higher service of the Hessian financial administration and the Hessian and Thuringian justice administration are trained. The HHFR only offers an internal course in the tax and legal department; this means that only employees of these local authorities can study here. A total of around 600 students study at the HHFR.

At the HHFR, the degrees of Dipl. Finanzwirt / in (FH) and Dipl. Rechtspfleger (FH) can be obtained. Both courses of study last three years and consist of several blocks of “subject theoretical study” and “subject practical study”. This means that during the three-year course the students study at the HHFR for around 20 months and the remaining time in their respective training agency.

The HHFR is a non-legal institution under public law , which is assigned to the division of the Hessian Ministry of Finance . The university has to carry out the tour in agreement with the Hessian Ministry of Justice .

In addition to the HHFR, the state of Hesse maintains the Hessian University for Police and Administration in Wiesbaden, with departments in Gießen , Kassel and Mühlheim am Main for those seeking high-level service in the fields of police and general administration as well as the University of Applied Sciences for Archives in Marburg .

history

With the Hessian state finance school in Rotenburg Castle , the educational establishment of the Hessian finance administration was housed in Rotenburg as early as 1953. This facility was followed by the "Training and Advanced Training Center of the Hessian State Administration" as the forerunner of the VFHS on September 1, 1973. A high-rise building with thirteen floors was built for it, which still defines the townscape of Rotenburg today.

High-rise of the Rotenburg University of Applied Sciences

On January 1, 1980, the "training and further education facility of the Hessian state administration" was converted into the Rotenburg University of Applied Sciences. From the beginning it was a joint university of the Hessian finance and justice administration. In 1994, the Thuringian judicial administration transferred responsibility for its legal clerk training to the VFHS.

With the new lecture hall building and three new apartment blocks, the university's premises were significantly expanded in 2000 and brought up to date. On January 1, 2006, the VFHS was incorporated into the Rotenburg study center. As of January 1, 2011, the University of Applied Sciences was renamed the Hessian University of Finance and Justice in Rotenburg an der Fulda.

Furnishing

The HHFR has more than 30 classrooms, including five computer classrooms. The university's own library is available to students. This infrastructure is also used by the administrations involved for training purposes.

592 modern single rooms are available in the living area. Students can eat in the cafeteria. Various leisure facilities are also available.
