The academic degree of Diplom-Finanzwirt (FH) (in Lower Saxony: Diplom-Finanzwirt (StAk) ) can be obtained at the public administration colleges or the universities of applied sciences for finance of the individual federal states (in Lower Saxony : Tax Academy - StAk) or in the finance department of the University of Federal purchase. After successfully passing the final examination and taking on the position of a civil servant on a probationary basis, the graduate finance economists (FH or StAk) work in the higher service of the financial administration. As tax inspectors, they are, for example, clerks in tax assessment, tax auditors or also work in tax investigations .

The course is characterized by its wide range of possible uses.
