The Hochschule der Deutschen Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung (HGU) - University of Applied Sciences in Bad Hersfeld / Hennef (Sieg) is a private, state-recognized university of applied sciences . It is one of the two central educational institutions of the DGUV for the commercial professional associations and the public accident insurance institutions in the areas of rehabilitation, social law and public administration.

history

The education center of the BUK (Federal Association of Accident Insurance Funds) in Bad Hersfeld with the academy and university of the German Statutory Accident Insurance has been in operation as a technical college since 1996. On June 1, 2007, the professional association academy in Hennef (Sieg) and the BUK training center in Bad Hersfeld were merged. The background to this was the merger of the Main Association of Commercial Employers' Liability Insurance Associations (HVBG) and the Federal Association of Accident Insurance Funds (BUK) to form the German Statutory Accident Insurance. V. (DGUV).

Course offer

The range of courses includes the undergraduate degree “Social Insurance - Accident Insurance” (BA), the master’s degree “Master of Public Administration (MPA)”, and the certificate degree “Rehabilitation Management in Legal”, carried out in cooperation with the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (Hennef Campus) Accident Insurance ”,“ Consultant in Occupational Health Management ”and“ Human Resources and Management ”. The university also offers various training courses and advanced training seminars for accident insurance employees.
