Bennungen mansion

The Bennungen mansion is a listed mansion in Bennungen in the southern Harz municipality in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the northern part of the village, at the address Halle-Kasseler-Straße 215 . Previously, the address at Hallesche Strasse 215 was also used.

Architecture and history

The manor house that characterizes the townscape was built around 1820/1830 in the classicism style. The facade is simple and clearly structured by a cornice band and cornice . There is a triangular gable with a lunette window and portico. At least at the end of the 1990s, the building served as the seat of the municipal administration. Currently (as of 2017) there is a meeting place for people's solidarity in the house .

In local monument list the mansion since August 24, 1995 under the registration number 094 83 387 as a monument listed. The building is considered to be of cultural, artistic and urban development significance.
