The manor house is the core of an earlier manor , the buildings of which have largely been preserved. A longitudinal barn and the first courtyard of the village, which was known as the Jagdmeierhof , belonged to the estate . In a charter from 1638 it was stated that the court had to accommodate and feed the hunters and their dogs during princely hunts. The entire former estate, including the manor house, the first courtyard and the surrounding wall, are now a listed building . The estate is one of the architectural monuments in the town of Ronnenberg . Its closedness is impaired by the recently built single-family houses . The estate is located on the western outskirts of Benthe, on the Wallbrink road ; the name stands for a slope between the edge of the forest and the estate. There are two ponds in the immediate vicinity of the manor house .

The building was built around 1750 as a mansion for the manor. It was built as a two- story, four - column house in half-timbered construction on a stone basement. The building has a central entrance with a two-flight sandstone staircase and is symmetrically structured by nine window axes. The facade used to be made of sandstone slabs. Until 1792 the building was used to collect taxes for the Wennigsen office . It was temporarily the seat of a baroness of the Hanoverian royal court. The Hanoverian King George V used it as a guest house. The manor also served the Guelphs as a summer and hunting lodge. In 1870 a farmer from Benthe bought it. It has been privately owned since then. In 2005 the manor house was renovated. Since around 2014 the manor house has been marked as a monument in Benthe by an information board.
