Hellekis mansion
The Hellekis manor is located about 35 kilometers southwest of the Swedish city of Mariestad on the shores of Lake Vänern . Hellekis is one of the best examples of late Gustavian style mansions in the province of Västergötland .
The Hellekis estate was first mentioned in the 14th century. In 1698 a stone mansion was built after a fire. The present mansion was built in 1791 through extensive renovation and expansion according to plans by the architect Olof Tempelman . It is surrounded by a large park known for its deciduous trees, which are rare in the north.
