Reign of Apremont
The Apremont lordship , based in Apremont, today a district of the French commune of Apremont-la-Forêt in the Meuse department in the Lorraine region , belonged to the lords of Apremont , who rose to become counts in the 13th century.
In the 14th century, the lordship belonged to the Duchy of Bar .
The Leiningen-Dagsburg-Hardenburg line from the Leiningen noble family acquired the Apremont rule in 1466. This was incorporated into the Duchy of Lorraine in 1599 .
