Bargau rule

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bargau rule with its seat at Bargau Castle in Bargau , today a district of Schwäbisch Gmünd in the Ostalbkreis ( Baden-Württemberg ), is first mentioned in 1326. The lords of Rechberg , who had the rule as a fief , acquired the Bargau rule in 1393. They sold the rule in 1544 to the imperial city of Schwäbisch Gmünd.

In 1802/03 the Bargau rule came under the sovereignty of Württemberg .
