Reign of Schellenberg
The Schellenberg rule was a territory in the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation , which is today in the Principality of Liechtenstein and roughly corresponds to the Unterland constituency for elections to the Landtag . The lordship of Schellenberg, north of the county of Vaduz , was acquired by the Liechtenstein family in 1699 .
The rulership was named after the castles Alt- and Neu-Schellenberg , where the noble family Schellenberg came from.
