The Herz-Jesu-wayside shrine is a land monument in the Lower Franconian community of Sailauf . The wayside shrine is under monument protection and is listed under file number D-6-71-150-9.

The wayside shrine is located on the Geisenbergerstraße - Rottenberg path, on the former sand pit and is located in a niche made of fortified natural stones (Feldsspar quartz and quartz porphyry from a local quarry) between two large old oaks, corridor no. 1844.

The wayside shrine is made of shell limestone, the colored Sacred Heart figure is made of plaster.

There is an inscription on the three-part base (height 74 cm, width 43 to 57 cm, depth 45 cm). A short shaft (30 cm high) carries one, an aedicle with a round arch (height 80 cm, with cross 99 cm, width 45 cm, depth 45 cm). The Sacred Heart figure in the niche is from an unknown artist. The field altar, dated 1942, is crowned with a small iron cross.

The inscription in capital letters reads:

JESUS ​​HEARTFULLY LOVE & PAIN I GIVE YOU ALL MY HEART!

Oral tradition says that the wayside shrine was created in memory of Ottilie Müller, b. Stegmann. She was buried here on Saturday, July 25, 1942 while digging in the sand and had a fatal accident.
