Sacred Heart Church

The parish church of Linz-Sacred Heart of Jesus is in the Linz district of Lustenau in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus belongs to the dean's office Linz-Süd in the diocese of Linz .

history

The church was built from 1899 to 1903 according to plans by Raimund Jeblinger . From 1967 to 1969, the renovation, redesign and erection of the portal porch took place according to plans by Edgar Telesko .

The original painting in the interior was destroyed by the renovation in 1967/69. The glass windows are by Rudolf Kolbitsch , the altar and tabernacle by Fritz Hartlauer , the crucifix by Leopold Raffetseder in 1968. The altar of Mary in the Marienkapelle is by Ludwig Linzinger , the majority of the figures also by Linzinger from the time the church was built. The organ was built by Orgelbau Pirchner in 1975.

The attached parsonage was built by Raimund Jeblinger and rebuilt by Hans Feichtlbauer after it was destroyed in the war in 1945 .
