history

The brick building was built according to plans by the Paderborn cathedral and diocesan master builder Arnold Güldenpfennig . In the architecture museum of the Technical University of Berlin , a drawing by the then 20-year-old architect Carl Mohr has been preserved, which is dated March 2, 1898 and is largely identical to the construction. Mohr may have worked for Güldenpfennig at the time.

description

On the south side there are some wayside shrines made of Teutoburg sandstone from 1697, two of which were moved to the rear of the building in 2012 in favor of a wheelchair ramp.

The parish Herz Jesu, together with St. Georg and St. Laurentius, forms the Paderborn-West pastoral association in the Paderborn deanery of the Paderborn Archdiocese . In the future, this pastoral association will be merged with the Paderborn Nord-Ost pastoral association to form a large pastoral association based in St. Bonifatius .
