Hesperides vinegar

Hesperides vinegar is an Austrian vinegar specialty. The pure fermentation vinegar, invented in 1927, is named after the guardians of the apple grove of the goddess Hera , the Hesperides , and is still produced today by the Austrian food company Mautner Markhof .

Recipe:

  • 87% spirit vinegar ( brandy vinegar )
  • 10% wine vinegar
  • Apple juice concentrate
  • Antioxidant E224 ( sulfite )
  • Color E150 ( sugar color )

A vinegar with 7.5% acid is produced using a natural fermentation process

It is mainly used in the preparation of potato (= potato), main (= leaf) and cucumber salads.
