In Egyptian mythology, hetemite refers to the place of annihilation in the duat . It is the secret place in the hereafter, where enemies of the gods or the dead are judged or destroyed. Especially in connection with the ancient Egyptian judgment of the dead with regard to the Book of the Dead 125 , the dead who did not successfully make the negative confession of sin experience the second death . A transfer of the deceased's Ba-soul to Sechet-iaru was impossible.
