Hetzenhausen is a village in the municipality of Neufahrn near Freising in Upper Bavaria with about 200 inhabitants.

location

Hetzenhausen is located on the north side of a ridge that stretches between the Isar and Ampertal valleys in an easterly direction.

history

It will probably always remain a secret when Hetzenhausen was really mentioned for the first time. The scholars do not agree whether the place name "Zezinhusir", which is mentioned in the documents of the Freising bishops , refers to Hetzenhausen in the Freising district or to Etzenhausen in the Dachau district . For a long time it appeared that Hetzenhausen was a relatively young settlement. But as Celtic finds prove, people settled there as early as 450 BC. Hetzenhausen is mentioned in a document as "Zezinhusir" but only around 794 AD.

In 1499, Hetzenhausen came to the Freising Monastery as part of the Hofmark Massenhausen until the secularization of 1802/1803.

Hetzenhausen belonged to the community of Massenhausen, which was incorporated into the community of Neufahrn near Freising on May 1, 1978.
