The Heuscheuer (hay barn) is a former warehouse in Heidelberg . Today the building serves as the university's lecture hall.

The building was erected in the middle of the 18th century as a tithe barn instead of the former mantle tower, the north-western corner bastion of the old city fortifications , which was destroyed in 1693.

The Heuscheuer kept its original function until 1824. From 1963 to 1965 it was converted into a lecture hall building for Heidelberg University .
