The witch Lilli is a series of children's books by Knister (real name Ludger Jochmann ), drawn by the Berlin graphic artist Birgit Rieger .

The books about the witch Lilli have been published by Würzburger Arena Verlag since 1992 . The first volume is called the witch Lilli conjures up homework . Since then, the author Knister and the illustrator Birgit Rieger can look back on a long success story: the series comprises more than 22 volumes, in addition to the original Hexe Lilli series, there is Hexe Lilli for first-time readers, as well as specialist books, quiz games, audio books, educational games and bilingual editions in English and Turkish. To date, the books have been sold more than 17 million times worldwide.
