Witch Lilli - The Journey to Mandolan

The witch Lilli saves Christmas , also witch Lilli's bagged Christmas , witch Lilli and the Christmas miracle and witch Lilli 3 , is a German - Austrian - Belgian coproduction from 2017 by Wolfgang Groos with Hedda Erlebach in the title role. The partially animated children's film was released in Germany on November 9, 2017 and in Austria on November 10, 2017.

After Lilli the witch - The dragon and the magical book by Stefan Ruzowitzky (2009) and Lilli the witch - The journey to Mandolan by Harald Sicherheitsitz (2011), this is another film adaptation based on the children's book series Lilli the witch by Knister .

action

In her third film adventure, the witch Lilli is annoyed by her little brother Leon, who is always the focus. Because of his allergy, she cannot have a rabbit as a pet, and he damages Lilli's new telescope, which St. Nicholas had just brought her. Despite warnings from the magic dragon Hector, she uses a saying from her book of witches with which the servant Ruprecht is to be conjured up to teach Leon a lesson. The saying works, but Knecht Ruprecht is making his own business in today's world.

Among other things, he makes one of Lilli's teachers disappear and gradually he develops back into the creature from the underworld that he was before he met Nicholas and this appeased him. The only one who can help in this situation seems to be Nikolaus himself, so Lilli starts looking for him. With her classmate Layla, she goes on a journey through time and conjures up Layla and herself back to Ruprecht's time with the help of the witch's leap. For the witch's leap, Lilli always needs an item from the destination. In Ruprecht's time, she got a piece of cloth off his sleeve and for the return trip she packed a candle from the Advent wreath in her backpack. Meanwhile, Ruprecht continues to be up to mischief in Lilli's town and puts Christmas in danger. Lilli tries to make up for her mistake and save Christmas.

Arrived in Ruprecht's time, Lilli and Layla end up in the dungeon that Ruprecht was locked in before Lilli conjured him up. With the candle that Lilli has packed for the return trip, they light up the dungeon and find out that they can climb out with the help of a fir tree. Magic doesn't work because Lilli doesn't have a suitable saying for it. After Lilli has freed herself and then Layla from the dungeon, they go to the Lord of the House of Count Tetrich. From this they learn that he has forbidden Christmas in his kingdom because his parents had died three years earlier on Christmas, and since then he has always been so alone at Christmas that he hates Christmas. Since Tetrich then wants to lock Lilli and Layla back in the dungeon, Lilli and Layla flee back to their time with the help of the witch's leap using the Advent wreath candle and arrive again in the school theater.

When they get there, however, they notice that it is not December 8th, when they took the witch's leap from the theater in Ruprecht's time, but rather Christmas Eve. The reason for this great time difference is that the candle that Lilli lit in the dungeon was the fourth candle of the Advent wreath and would therefore only burn on the 4th Advent, and if it had already been burned, Lilli could only have it after a while bring the 4th Advent. Furthermore, there are photos of missing children hanging everywhere, from which Lilli draws the conclusion that Ruprecht bagged them all. Lilli and Layla quickly rush to Lilli's home, where Lilli has to find out that she and Leon are already missing, from which she draws the conclusion that Ruprecht has also bagged Leon. Then Lilli and Layla are greeted by Hector, who brings Lilli a letter from Nicholas saying that he is coming to the play at the Christmas market. Lilli and Layla have to hurry because they only have 12 minutes left until then, but they are still thinking about a plan of what to do if Santa Claus is late. Then Lilli had the idea to use the big time magic. They quickly rush to the Christmas market. While the headmistress is giving a funeral speech there, Knecht Ruprecht appears and is annoyed that he has not found Santa Claus anywhere, and therefore reproaches everyone for the fact that Santa Claus does not exist and threatens everyone to punish them. Lilli and Layla step in. Ruprecht is just about to bag her when Lilli freezes the whole world with the great magic of time, including Ruprecht's sack, which she can't bag like that. Lilli can grab Ruprecht's sack and then flees with Layla and Hector through the Christmas market. After a while Ruprecht catches up with Lilli and Layla, but at that moment a blue shooting star appears in the sky and Lilli, Layla and Ruprecht know: Now comes Santa Claus. Ruprecht is soothed and takes his sack and follows to his master. After a while, all the people Ruprecht bagged are conjured up to the Christmas market, all the children appear on the stage in their costumes and Lilli and Layla are also conjured up in their costumes: Lilli in Ruprecht's and Layla's in St. Now everything is back to normal. However, Lilli has to cancel the effect of the great time magic and give Layla a kiss of oblivion, because Layla is not allowed to remember anything from the magical story of Knecht Ruprecht and she must certainly not remember that Lilli is a witch. Before Lilli does both, however, she gives Layla a friendship bracelet. Now that Lilli has got the time running again and has erased Layla's memory of the adventure with Knecht Ruprecht, nobody except Lilli and Hektor knows what happened there as if Ruprecht hadn't even been in their time. Instead, everyone applauds for the successful piece. Layla's memory gap - since she witnessed the adventure about Ruprecht with Lilli, she has no memory of the play, because like Lilli she actually did not participate in it, but at the same time, through Lilli's kiss of oblivion, she has no memory of the adventure about Ruprecht Lilli remarked that Layla had forgotten how she got on stage because of stage fright, but still mastered everything. After the play everyone celebrates Christmas, even Layla's parents celebrate with Layla, and of course Lilli's family (mother, Leon and grandmother) too. Lilli gets a rabbit in the garden with a stable.

The film ends in Ruprecht's time in the Reiche Tetrichs, where it also began. In addition to Count Tetrich, Ruprecht and Nikolaus, as well as the guards and other servants of Tetrich, sit at Tetrich's table and they celebrate Christmas together with great joy.
