Danny Krausz
Danny Krausz (born May 12, 1958 in Vienna ) is an Austrian film producer and university lecturer.
Life
Danny Krausz founded the production company Dor Film together with Milan Dor in 1988 and produced six of the ten most successful feature films in Austrian cinemas. With Paul Harather's India in the 1990s, he established the genre of the so-called “cabaret films”, which usually draw on well-known folk actors from the Austrian cabaret scene. At the same time, his work has been recognized by many literary films and international co-productions. In 1998 he founded DOR Film West GmbH in Munich . Since 2005 he has been chairman of the Film and Music Association in the WKO. In 2008 he was elected President of the collecting society VAM. For many years he helped determine the international producer training within the framework of the EAVE media program, was president of the program for five years, taught himself and is still a member of the board today.
In addition, since 2011 he has been a university professor at the Vienna Film Academy in the production department.
In 2009 Danny Krausz founded the Academy of Austrian Films together with other Austrian filmmakers .

- 2014: Austrian Film Award 2014 for Your beauty is worth nothing as Best Feature Film
- 2015: Romy in the category Best Documentary TV for The Staggering Continent (with Kurt Stocker )
- 2016: Tokyo Grand Prix - 29th Tokyo International Film Festiva
- 2017: “Best Feature Film” at the 3rd Moscow Jewish Film Festival
