Hi-Tec Sports PLC is a British shoe, sports and leisurewear manufacturer founded in 1974 and based in Shoeburyness , Essex .
The product range extends from shoes (so-called Hi-Tecs ) for sports ( tennis , squash , soccer , golf ) and climbing to work shoes for police officers and private security service providers . The company serves the middle price segment and is particularly known for its hi- tech squash shoe.
In 1984 the company management decided to market the Hi-Tec label worldwide. There are various sub-brands such as Hi-Tec Outdoor , Hi-Tec Court , Hi-Tec Golf , Hi-Tec Sport , Urban collections and Magnum .
