HiSilicon is the largest fabless semiconductor manufacturer in the People's Republic of China and a wholly owned subsidiary of Huawei . Its predecessor, ASIC Design Center of Huawei Technologies , was founded in 1991, four years after Huawei.

Products

HiSilicon manufactures its own semiconductor designs for various products, including mobile processors ( SoC ), 4G and 5G baseband modems of the "Balong" series, server processors (ARM-based) of the "Kunpeng" series, 5G ASIC of the "Tiangang" series as well as other semiconductor chips for surveillance cameras and other electronic devices, AI processors of the "Ascend" and "DaVinci" series as well as Power Amplifier IC (PAMid) and RF modules. HiSilicon has a permanent ARMv8 license from the British ARM Limited and thus has access to IP cores of the Cortex series from ARM.
