Hiensdorf

The hamlet of Hiensdorf is part of the municipality of Vachendorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .

geography

Hiensdorf is located in the planning region of southeast Upper Bavaria in Chiemgau and belongs to the municipality of Vachendorf. South of Hiensdorf is in the immediate vicinity of the Tüttensee .

Hiensdorf currently has around 70 residents.

particularities

Characteristic for the appearance of Hiensdorf is the interesting contrast between several centuries-old farms and modern houses. However, one of the oldest courtyards was destroyed in a major fire .

The “Sommerheisl” is considered to be the landmark of the hamlet and is often used by the residents of Hiensdorf and the neighboring village of Wörglham for philosophical and social exchange as well as for socializing. Hiensdorf is also adorned by several centuries-old oaks.
