Achim Kürten

Achim Kürten (born September 3, 1945 in Varel , Friesland) is an award-winning film editor who worked for ZDF .

Life

In 1964 he started as an editing intern at ZDF and was head of the current editing department there from 1969 to 2001. In 1990 he received the German television award " Telestar " for editing the production "Album '89 - Pictures of a Year".

Kuerten sees the years 1980 to 2000 as "a very fruitful time" in which he and Karl Heinz Rudolph the "Pictures of the Year" had cut.

Kürten is married to Heidi Kürten, has a daughter - Lilly Kürten - and is a younger brother of the German sports reporter Dieter Kürten .
