High Tone is a French Dub - band from Lyon . High Tone was founded in 1997 by five band members. High tones are based on a wide variety of musical influences such as drum and bass , ambient, trance and dub. After the band had produced their first LPs themselves and had them pressed onto vinyl, they signed a contract with the Jarring Effects label (Lyon). High Tone is one of the most important dub bands in France. The band members are friends with Kaly Live Dub and Zenzile . With these two bands, among others , they released collaborative projects such as Kaltone and Zentone .
