The Hiidenvesi [ ˈhiːdɛnvɛsi ] is a lake in southern Finland . With an area of 29.1 km², it is the second largest lake in the Uusimaa region . The Hiidenvesi is located in the area of the municipalities Vihti and Lohja and is divided into the following four areas: Kirkkojärvi and Mustionselkä in the northeast, Nummelanselkä in the east and the central part Kiihkelyksenselkä. The lake is 12.7 km long and a maximum of 30 m deep. The Hiidenvesi is drained by the Väänteenjoki River into the Lohjanjärvi Lake to the southwest . The lake is located in the catchment area of Karisån .
