Hijuk is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 400 people in Cameroon (1992 census).

It is spoken in a village area southwest of Bokito in the Mbam district in the Center province .

classification

Hijuk is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Bafia group , which is classified as the Guthrie Zone A50.

Around 45% of the vocabulary is similar to the vocabulary of the Bafia language , and around 84% to that of the Bassa language .
