Hikanos
Hikanos ( Latin Hicanus ) was an ancient Greek archetype .
No known works by Hikanos have come down to us. It owes its position as part of art history to a mention by Pliny the Elder . Without going into any further detail, he names Hikanos with several other ore formers because of their artistry in the production of statues in the field of athletes, warriors, hunters and sacrificers. A more precise chronological classification is not given, but must be between the increased use of bronze castings in statues in the 5th century BC. And the creative period of Pliny in the 1st century.
