Hilarinus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hilarinus is the name of several martyrs in the Martyrologium Romanum . The most important among them is Hilarinus of Ostia († around 362 in Ostia), who is said to have cared for the poor and the sick with St. Gallicanus in Ostia and to have financed the expansion of Gallicanus' house into a hospital . Like him he fell victim to the Julian persecution ; he was beaten to death for refusing to worship.
