Hilberling HPA-8000B

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hilberling HPA-8000B is an amateur radio - power amplifier of the German manufacturer Hilberling , which up to 1000 watts of output power for the short wave - amateur bands and the 6 meter band and the 4-meter band can provide. It serves as an optional addition to a transceiver , for example the PT-8000A from the same manufacturer.

technology

The power amplifier is fully transistorized and uses LDMOSFETs (from English laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor , " laterally diffused metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor ") in the driver stage and the push-pull output stage . The input sensitivity can be switched between three ranges (up to 0.1 W, up to 3 W or up to 30 W). There are two switchable inputs, four antenna outputs and a control output that has been lowered by 60  dB , which can be used for automatic gain control . The power pack and a fully automatic antenna matching network for an SWR up to 3: 1 are integrated.

The amplifier has been available since 2016 at a price of just under 6,000 euros.
